I shall begin by explaining I had a fantastically creative and productive day yesterday. I managed to squeeze about 50 very good designs out of my sleep deprived brain which even I was astonished by! Also felt the hunger and motivation to do these projects which is a wonderful feeling. I decided to exercise my brain a little more so had some very fascinating astro physics programmes on in the background. I have to say now that I would like to find the time to make my own collection probably inspired by the sun due to this programme.
Anyway, enough about my geek side and on to more pressing issues. Today will again be spent completed my designs, modifying and combining ideas, polishing up samples and drafting the pattern for the toile and if possible start making it.
I must also start putting together a collection of fabric samples (about 20) for tomorrow morning! I had sort of forgotten that I needed to do this for Monday so not sure how it will go down.
If I have time I will begin making patterns and designs for this fabric merchant. He's given me 5m of rainbow PVC to play with and make festival wear! Tricky because it is so vulgar but then again could be interesting. I am thinking about basing most of the designs on a new era dance wear vibe to try and tone down the rainbow and make it fresh and tasteful! I think if I made small bandeau tops to be worn under stringy cotton vests etc it will be far more successful than e.g. a pair of shorts made from the stuff!
As an ode to my geek side and fascination with astronomy i shall leave you with images of stars (including our humble sun) and their many traits. Enjoy the pictures and I promise tomorrow's post will not be nearly as sad as this!
