Jamie Olivers Italian

Hey there,
Last night I went to Jamie Oliver's Italian Restaurant in Canary Wharf. I love canary wharf, quiet and safe surroundings and most of all striking architecture. Taking a friend who has never visited there before reminded me of the first time I visited, mouth wide open and a glint of excitement much like a child in a candy shop. Although we had to wait for just over an hour for a table at the restaurant, it was worth the wait! The food was fantastic and service excellent. Admittedly being a student this was a treat and not something I could regularly undertake. Rustic italian food was well thought out and it was nice to see that the menu did not have pizza! I chose to have steak for my main and obviously ice cream to follow! All said and done 3 courses with a glass of wine it came to £28, very good value for money!!! This is a perfect restaurant for networking dinners, not too stuck up but the food stands up and atmosphere is sophisticated and comfortable.

Anyway, enough of my evening on to fashion! Doing research for this article has dug up a few dimes of websites offering great emerging talent and referencing points for the creative industry in general. Here's a few of the best:

www.thecoolhunter.com
www.fashion156.com
www.kctv.com

Im particularly loving thecoolhunter because it contains loads of contemporary design from all industries and isn't pushing new and looking at work based on beauty and design. Most of these have newsletters keeping you up to date and informed.

Finally tonight I shall be meeting up with a new contact I established at a recent event about new experimental fabrics which may be of interest to me. See how it goes. I hope the fabrics are good, and I will keep you updated!!!

Must dash for now
