Final Collection

Evening!
Ok after a few tweaks I have come up with a final collection. All I must do now is choose between the 2 versions of each dress. I have now got 12 ideas which I shall cut down to 6 (would help if my printer was working!) Found out that I must do a shell fitting for thursday (out of real fabrics).

I am now attempting to source some stretch/jersey chiffon or organza in a nude colour for the shoulder panel and sleeve of my final dress. I have been informed that Pongees or Joel and Sons are the best places to go for anything to do with silk, so I will be paying them a visit tomorrow morning, wish me luck!

Construction wise I have decided to appliqué felt on top of the fabric painting and sequins to add more dimension and detail to the dress, a lot of work to do for thursday. Tonight I will spend the rest of my time drawing on the design and panels on to the last toile which is on my mannequin next to me as we speak. I may update with images as I go if I am not too tired or busy!

Must also do some fashion illustrations for the fabric project for Thursday as well. This project required me to collect 20 samples and design a collection of 6 outfits based on the chosen samples. I think I will go with the black and light blue with hits of gold look, but I need to consider the presentation in a portfolio format.

Below are the image of all 12 ideas which I shall cut down to 6.
